See first picture of cop shot dead in Dallas protest

One of the police officers killed during a protest against the shootings of two black men has been pictured for the first time.

DART officer Brent Thompson, 43, was one of 11 from Dallas Police force shot down by four snipers at the Texas rally. He is the first officer to be killed in the line of duty since DART formed a police department in 1989.

Five US police officers were confirmed dead and seven injured after shooters opened fire at the 
protest which was being held in Dallas over the deaths of two black men.

One of the 11 injured police officers has been named as Misty McBride, pictured below, who was reportedly shot in the shoulder.

The other officers who were shot dead or injured are yet to be identified.

Morgan Lyons, a spokesman for DART, said:
“As you can imagine, our hearts are broken. This is something that touches every part of our organisation

My now ex-girlfriend got a job in another state and moved there. After moving, she sent me a couple of emails with pictures of her new apartment and workplace. Then the frequency and quality of our phone conversations dropped. 

She said that she needed this time off to focus on her new life and de-stress. (We were having issues about if and when we were both going to get married soon). 

A month later, on her birthday, I sent her flowers and chocolates and tried to call her but it went to voicemail every time. After a few days, she sent me a thank you note and told me she had taken off on an unplanned trip to Canada with her girl friend. 

She sent me a couple of pictures from her trip of just her. Something seemed really fishy. I logged into her Yahoo mail box because I remembered the password she had given me three years ago. There were a ton of email exchanges with this guy Rob from her workplace that I had met once before and she supposedly had a crush on. 

They were seeing each other going by the highly romantic/sexual nature of the emails. I sent her an email saying "Good luck with Rob. We are done. Please change the password to your Yahoo mail." 

A few months later, Robert dumped her, quite unceremoniously so from what I heard from our common friends. She called me out of the blue wanting to get back with me and make it work. 

She apologized for her behavior. I refused to have her back. She begged for one chance and came to see me, brought me a lot of gifts and acted like nothing had happened. But I had moved on and didn't feel anything for her. 

I may have taken her back if she came across as being sincere, but I wasn't going to make it easy for her. 

After 2 days of incessantly trying, she suddenly stopped. I heard from a friend that she had gone off on another trip. Something was fishy again. 

I went back to her mailbox and guessed her new password! (Yeah, she was quite predictable) From her emails, I gathered she had gone off on a trip with a friend of mine named Daniel and Daniel had waxed eloquent about how well she kisses. 

I wrote back to her "We are never getting back together. Good luck with Daniel. Please change the password to your Yahoo mail."

That was that.

Photos: Husband beats wife up live on reality TV show in Serbia

The  moment a reality TV contestant grabbed his wife by the throat and banged her head against a door twice live on TV has shocked viewers in Serbia.

The violence emerged during the prime time show 'Couples' which is filmed in a luxury villa in Belgrade. Complete strangers are made to go through wedding ceremonies to see how long the relationship can survive the pressure on the show.

31 year old Nenad Marinkovic-Gastoz had exploded with fury because his wife Zorica Dukic, 24, tried to intervene when he was having a row with another contestant.


As partners sat around a huge banquet table, Nenad turned on her, clamped his hand over her mouth screaming at her to be quiet. She is seen breaking away when her partner tries to pinch her nose too, making it impossible for her to breath.

As she tries to escape, Gastoz grabs her in a headlock and drags her way to the loos, smacking her on the backside on the way.
Then as he grabs her by throat, bangs her head against a door twice and screams: "You are my girl! I will talk for you! Shut up, I said shut up."

All the other contestants can see every moment of the shocking attack but none of them did anything to try to stop it. One woman even nonchalantly eats an apple as she watches the fight unfold on a giant screen.

The violence only ends when Gastoz comes growling back to the table growling with frustration.

Kenyans on social media attack Madonna for embarrassing them

Kenyans on social media are right now attacking pop idol, Madonna who is currently in their country to oversee her charity projects.

Her offence? - Madonna or whoever manages her social media accounts, posted this image of a sewer snaking through the Kibera slum. Her caption, according to the angry Kenyans, suggested that the  Kibera people needed help as that was the water they drink from.

Most people felt that other than the glaring blotch on the Kenyan beauty- the Kibera Slum, the singer should have taken her time to document the posh hotel that she slept in, the good roads she was driven on and the mouthwatering delicacies, food that she was served.

The penchant of most foreigners to document only the ugly side of Africa was criticized with people on social media calling the singer, ignorant. Some of their harsh comments below.
